The Venue

We’ll be staying at the luxurious exquisite and high end resort, located in the serene mountainous landscape in the heart of the Algarve. This exclusive wellness retreat features infra-red sauna, a Finnish sauna, a hammam, a massage lounge, a meditation lounge, a jacuzzi, a salt water swimming pool, an ice bath and many amazing lounge areas.

Yoga and calisthenics

It’s time to reconnect with our bodies. While we practice physical yoga poses, we also use asanas and movements as tools to explore, adapt, learn, and grow. During the movement workshops, we will engage in playful exercises across all planes of motion, just like we did when we were younger.
Through simple exercises using only our body weight, we will challenge our balance, coordination, mobility, and strength. These practices will ultimately enhance our everyday movements, making them stronger and more confident. Whether it’s getting up, squatting to pick something up, running, hanging, or jumping, these movements help reduce the risk of injury and improve overall quality of life.

Issy Nadee

Issy started her yoga journey after years of suffering from back pain scoliosis, causing lots of physical and mental issues. She wants to encourage people to live a healthy lifestyle through yoga, mobility and movement to enhance the joint’s mobility. Her class combines modern movements and mindfulness. She gives various modifications. She believes that ‘yoga is not about the poses, so don’t let the poses define you. We use them as a tool to connect and learn deeper within ourselves’.

Maxime Ronse

Maxime Ronse

Maxime is a personal trainer with a passion for bodyweight training. He loves to transfer this passion to his clients. “There is no better feeling than seeing my client evolve by mastering his/her own bodyweight.” In his spare time you will see him hanging on the bars at the local outdoor gym or walking/playing with his 3-legged dog Bobo.

Getting to Moodz Spa & Resort is simple and stress-free!

  • The nearest airport is Faro International Airport, just a 50-minute drive away. 

  • Transport Tips: 

  • While we don’t provide taxi or airport shuttle services, we’ll create a WhatsApp group so you can coordinate ride-sharing with other guests. 

  • To explore the beautiful Algarve region before and after your stay, we highly recommend renting a car directly from the airport.

Mid-June in the Algarve is a fantastic time to visit! The weather is typically warm and sunny, with daytime temperatures averaging between 24°C and 28°C (75°F to 82°F). Nights are pleasantly cool, usually around 17°C (63°F), making it comfortable for sleeping.

It’s a perfect time to enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, beach visits, and yoga retreats without the intense heat of peak summer months. Plus, the region is lush and vibrant, and the crowds are smaller compared to July and August.

If you love sunny days and mild evenings, mid-June is an ideal time to experience the Algarve!

Certainly! Here’s a proposed payment plan for a single person. For couples, multiply everything by two.

  1. Deposit (Non-refundable) :** 500 EUR per person. Due upon registration.
  2. First Installment**:
    **Amount:** 500 EUR per person.
    **Due Date:** 1st of March 2025 (3 months before the retreat)
  3. Second Installment**:
    **Amount:** Remaining balance.
    **Due Date:** 1st May 2025 (1 month before the retreat)

You will be directed to the checkout page where you can choose to either pay a deposit now and continue with a payment plan or you choose to pay in full. After the payment you will receive a confirmation email with a PDF-receipt within 24 hours.

Whether you need a visa to travel to Portugal depends on your nationality and the purpose of your visit. Here’s a quick guide: 

No Visa Required** (Short Stays up to 90 Days) 

  • EU/EEA and Swiss citizens**: No visa needed.
  • Citizens of many countries, including the USA, Canada, UK, Australia, and New Zealand**, can enter Portugal visa-free for tourism, business, or short stays up to 90 days within a 180-day period.

 **Visa Required** 

  • If you’re from a country that doesn’t have a visa-free agreement with the Schengen Area, you’ll need a **Schengen visa** to enter Portugal.

**Important Notes** 

  • Your passport must be valid for at least 3 months beyond your planned departure date.
  • If you’re from a visa-exempt country, you’ll need to **register for ETIAS** (European Travel Information and Authorization System) starting in **2024** before traveling.

Absolutely! Issy and Maxime have thousands of hours of teaching experience under their belts. They can offer endless options and variations so everyone can practice at their own level. The most important aspect is to have fun while exploring the capabilities of your body at your own pace and under the professional guidance of your trainers.

The daily itinerary may vary depending on weather conditions, individual energy levels, and additional influencing factors. A typical day may look like this:

  • Morning:
    7-8 am Coffee, tea and fruits
    8-10 am Yoga & calisthenics practice
    30-12.00 am Brunch
  • Afternoon: Hiking/Excursion/Workshops/Relaxation
    5-6 pm Stretching class/Breath-work/Meditation (Except on excursion & workshop days)
    30 pm Dinner
